Industria is more than just a corporate rebrand for our client, it’s a commitment to building better.
It represents a future of limitless possibilities, where collaboration, innovation and intention reign supreme.

When we were approached by Sumit Mahajan to reimagine the corporate identity for his namesake business, Mahajan Home Ltd., he had a clear vision in mind for the future. During our strategy sessions we worked to align that vision with a visual identity that could function as a foundational platform for communicating new ideas and a new, evolved direction. This task, to translate an established business with a successful history and loyal customer base,  into something more purposeful, led us to Industria.

Industria, in latin, means purposeful. This word acted like a lightning rod in our planning conversations and would inspire every creative decision we made to be informed and meaningful. Phonetically, we knew the implications of the word Industria when associated with a textile manufacturer could come off as too cold and ‘industrial’, so we made a conscious choice to lean into a values-led design strategy over strictly capabilities-inspired. This informed approach produced a warmer, approachable brand identity that reflected the collaboration and free-flowing creativity found in the culture of the organization.

Art Direction:

Although Mahajan Home Ltd. began as a textile manufacturer, it was important that the new Industria brand captured the full scope of product solutions the business now offered. It was also important to design a brand system that showcased capabilities, without over-defining an aesthetic for Industria that might box-in their offering in the minds of future customers.

To accomplish this, we chose a modern neutral colour system that could successfully operate as a backdrop to all photography elements. Instead of literal product imagery, we layered lifestyle shots with textural, abstracted textile photography and informative one-on-one video content that allowed the viewer to see the potential of the materials and collaborative service offered. The Industria master identity utilizes a chunky modern san serif typeface that feels equally structured and approachable. As a living brand system, these elements strengthen each other and the purposeful meaning behind industria.

The result? A brand reinvention in which a carefully layered, clear and considered proposition will enable a future of limitless possibilities.
