Harwood Estate Vineyards first approached us to re-imagine their brand identity and re-design their large portfolio of wine labels in an effort to unify their offerings, and differentiate their vineyard from competitors.


As with many small businesses, many iterations of their identity had been created over the years and Harwood was looking to modernize and refresh for a consistent rollout across all consumer touch points.

Art Direction:

Harwood Estate Vineyards was not lacking for inspiration. A solar-powered winery, with a flair for nautical themed products (Admiral's Blend is a personal favourite of ours), Harwood had a large tool box of elements for us to work with. It was important to the client to carry these elements forward in the brand evolution. We created a brand system that balanced a modern, contrasted type treatment with a minimal logo mark that captures both the nautical heritage and solar features of the winery. We were conscious to create a brand identity that was flexible and appropriate across the variety of blends, bottles and label sizes — each with their own unique personality.

The result? A contemporary brand system that effectively services a diverse, colourful variety of products consistently and authentically.
